Consultant Accident & Emergency medicine

The Bluecross Locums Medical division are in need of a Consultant with a specialist interest in Emergency Medicine.

Our Client is based in Colchester.

To be eligible for consideration for a Consultant position, candidates must possess MBBS & MRCP (UK) or equivalent, be fully registered on the General Medical Council's (GMC) Specialist Register.

Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) in Accident & Emergency Medicine is desirable however Specialist Registrars may apply if within 6 months of CCT.

Comprehensive experience in managing patients with all aspects of Accident & Emergency medicine patients and problems.

The ideal candidate will have to be clinically efficient and also have:

  • Ability to motivate and develop junior medical staff
  • Demonstrate evidence of effective management skills.
  • Ability to gain the trust and confidence of colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Can work on own initiative and recognise own limitations.
  • Communicate effectively and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to support and motivate staff during periods of pressure.
  • Professional attitude towards work, reliability with a good record of attendance.
